MY LANDLORD’S HOUSEMAID MOTIVATES ME THROUGH HER LIFE EXPERIENCE

My landlord has a housemaid who has worked for him for 5 years. Her name is Enah Saenah. I usually call her “Uwak”. She is 51 years old woman and has been a housemaid since 11 years ago. I feel so helpful .She is so friendly and energic . I always see her smile. I like her happy face. Everyday I deal with her.
As a human, she has some dreams for her life. She hopes happiness for her family and she wants to make her daughter happy. She wants to buy a house for her family. She works hard to reach this dream. She does not want to bother her daughter’s life with a financial problems. I also have a dream for my family. We both hope happiness for our family. I want to make my parents proud of me. She teaches me that we have to give more effort if we want to make our family proud of us. Uwak should work harder so that she could earn more money, and I should study harder to get high GPA, get more knowledge, and be success. I know, this is not an easy dream. But if we have will, give extra effort, and we surrender to God, I believe, one day we can get our dream.
When I interviewed her for my writing assignment, I asked her about her challenges that she found in her job. She said that she did not find any challenges. I wondered why she could think like that. I asked her and she answered that it is because she has a kind and patient boss. Moreover, she always enjoys her job. No wonder, she has a happy face. She does all her duties with all her heart. I know, this must be a tiring job for 51 years old woman. But if we do our duties and job with a joyful heart , we will not get sick, get angry, or get tired easily. She motivates me to do all my assignment and job with a joyful heart and happy face. It will make me enjoy the life.
I get a lot of thing from Uwak’s life experience. It  teaches me a lot of positive things. As a woman, we have to be strong and tough. We may not become a weepy and spoiled girl. To be a strong and tough woman, we must have a fighting spirit. It is a spirit that enables us to survive, no matter how hard is the life. She teaches me to do our job with a joyful heart and give some passion on it. Her big love for her family reminds me that we have to love our family because it is a priceless gift that was sent from God to each of us.

Lionel Messi, My inspiration

Lionel Messi is a professional football player from Barcelona club. His life and his struggle inspires me so much. He is a talented football player. He started his career when he was 16. His ex-coach trusted him that he could be a great young football player. He won many times of football match. He has a big spirit to be a successful football player.
The thing from Lionel Messi that make me amaze of him is not only about his ability in football. He has a physical weakness, but he chose not to give up and stop to chase his dream. His physic does not support him to be a football player. He suffered a growth human deficiency. It makes his body become short. Although I never suffer any serious disease, I can see that nobody wants to be sick. Everybody wants to be healthy. I feel it too.
Besides all his physical weakness, he has some strength that make me admire him. He has a fighting spirit. He never gives up to chase his dream. He keeps doing the exercise. He does it extraordinarily.  His persistent of doing exercise make him become a famous football player. Now I realize, if I want to be an extraordinary person, I have to give an extra effort.  Although he is famous, he is still kind and helpful. He established Leo Messi Foundation, a charity supporting access to education health and care for vulnerable children. He helps many people. He is a humble man. His popularity doesn’t make him to be arrogant. He teaches me that popularity is transitory and it is just God’s gift. So there is no use to brag.
I learn many things from him. He teaches me a lot of things. He never stops to chase his dream although he found many obstacle. He teaches to do the best as I can and never give up to chase my dream. He can be so successful because he always do his best and even give an extra effort. Messi’s struggle reminds me a motto “no pain no gain”. He gets his success because he has paid it with an extra effort.
