MY LANDLORD’S HOUSEMAID MOTIVATES ME THROUGH HER LIFE EXPERIENCE

My landlord has a housemaid who has worked for him for 5 years. Her name is Enah Saenah. I usually call her “Uwak”. She is 51 years old woman and has been a housemaid since 11 years ago. I feel so helpful .She is so friendly and energic . I always see her smile. I like her happy face. Everyday I deal with her.
As a human, she has some dreams for her life. She hopes happiness for her family and she wants to make her daughter happy. She wants to buy a house for her family. She works hard to reach this dream. She does not want to bother her daughter’s life with a financial problems. I also have a dream for my family. We both hope happiness for our family. I want to make my parents proud of me. She teaches me that we have to give more effort if we want to make our family proud of us. Uwak should work harder so that she could earn more money, and I should study harder to get high GPA, get more knowledge, and be success. I know, this is not an easy dream. But if we have will, give extra effort, and we surrender to God, I believe, one day we can get our dream.
When I interviewed her for my writing assignment, I asked her about her challenges that she found in her job. She said that she did not find any challenges. I wondered why she could think like that. I asked her and she answered that it is because she has a kind and patient boss. Moreover, she always enjoys her job. No wonder, she has a happy face. She does all her duties with all her heart. I know, this must be a tiring job for 51 years old woman. But if we do our duties and job with a joyful heart , we will not get sick, get angry, or get tired easily. She motivates me to do all my assignment and job with a joyful heart and happy face. It will make me enjoy the life.
I get a lot of thing from Uwak’s life experience. It  teaches me a lot of positive things. As a woman, we have to be strong and tough. We may not become a weepy and spoiled girl. To be a strong and tough woman, we must have a fighting spirit. It is a spirit that enables us to survive, no matter how hard is the life. She teaches me to do our job with a joyful heart and give some passion on it. Her big love for her family reminds me that we have to love our family because it is a priceless gift that was sent from God to each of us.
